Dear Starkey staff, again I want to thank you all for all of your help. I learned something from each and every one of you. Mrs Swain and Mr Smith and Mr Tollison you were so kind and informative as l learned about the school and asked a thousand questions. Chef is great, he puts his heart into everything he does. Mrs Schaefer is very helpful and kind and I learned a few things about my personality type. Mrs Faulkner was also very helpful and kind and I enjoyed her class. Mr Tjornham I enjoyed just hearing You talk (you know you have that English butler sound). Mr Giles always had a smile on his face. Mrs Day was very informative and she is a lot of fun. Mrs Bullock is a great teacher. Mrs Starkey is really passionate and focused. Although each and every one of you is different the common denominator is a servants heart.

Thank you so much. It is amazing what my Starkey Household Manager has accomplished in 2 days. I know I have made a great decision in hiring her. She is very organized and astute. Her Starkey training is very evident. She takes notes on everything we talk about and has already started a household management book. I also love her great attitude and wonderful sense of humor; that is so appreciated here. Thank you for sending her my way. I think we will be a great fit! I am very happy that I contacted you and would be pleased to recommend you if the occasion ever arises. Thank you again.

My experience with Starkey International has exceeded my expectations in many ways. As a professional chef with plenty of relevant work experience, this was the perfect opportunity to help me round out my skill sets for work in service management. I was immediately drawn to them for their reputation of excellence. In that, I was not disappointed. I feel fully equipped to approach nearly any position in service management, knowing that I now understand the many nuances of the industry.

I also found the convenience of the courses ideal, particularly the correspondence alternative. Initially, I began with the on-site classes. However, I soon realized that my schedule would not accommodate that environment. I was pleased to learn that the correspondence course was an option for me, and found incredible results through this medium. Not only was my professor knowledgeable, he was also accessible, getting back to me promptly with answers to a variety of questions. The course materials were very comprehensive and easy-to-read. By the time I finished my six-week course, I felt I had gained a wealth of insight into every area of household management.

I am now in the process of interviewing for positions as an estate manager. Not only do I feel certain that I will find the best position possible, I also have the utmost confidence that my skill sets will exceed the expectations of my Principles time and time again, thanks to the Starkey International service vision. Starkey’s placement services have been an added bonus to their Household Management Certification program, and I know that their respected name will put me in the type of home that I have envisioned myself working in. Their knowledge and service vision have provided me with the tools I need to bring to this caliber of position.

I highly recommend Starkey’s Household Management Certification program for anyone looking for a career in service management. No matter if you are just starting out or if you are a seasoned professional, their excellent curriculum and flexible course options make it possible for you to take your career to the next level. I feel that this was a quality investment that I have made in myself, and look forward to enjoying the dividends for many years to come.

I can not say enough positive things about my Starkey Experience and placement.
After attending the Household Managers Training Program I found myself better equip and trained to handle numerous situations that can arise as a Military Enlisted Aide. The training and professinal way that the staff at Starkey taught me was something I have carried on into my Civilian life. After a 22 year Career in the Military I had recently retired. As I was placed on the list of available graduates it was not long before my phone was ringing and I was on my way to an interview. Ms Starkey has a way of putting you with the right family and really making the relationship work. No call ever went unanswered, and no question was ever to much. The relationship did not stop after placement. The Entire Starkey Staff is always there for you. I can't Thank everyone enough for my placement it is like a dream come true. A true ServiceHeart is never forgotten.
Usually after a Superbowl Game the commentator will approach someone on the winning team and ask him where he is going afterwards, and the response is usually" I'm going to Disneyland". Well I did...Thank You for making my Service Vision a reality, and my next step in my new life come true.

I am proud to be one of the seven students who graduated as Class 116, February of 2011, from the Starkey International Institute. The beauty and breadth of my experience as a Starkey student is not easily put into brief and succinct writing. On a very personal note, what I recognize as most impacting in the course of my eight weeks at the Starkey Mansion - more important than the Certification for Household Management - was the exchange of diverse ideas for conduct in private service and the friendship with both staff and classmates. In essence, I believe that I have an incredible extended family; one that I cherish and respect.

Thankfully, I have been blessed with a placement – courtesy of Mary Starkey and Director of Placement, Gary Smith. For those who have yet to find their niche in Private Service; I suggest patience and perseverance. The road that led me to where I am today was not easy and could not have been visualized in its true form. Never stop being a student of Private Service as every Principal is unique, every interview is an opportunity to learn and every setback is inspiration to reassess your passion and your strength.

Before I attended your fine institution, I always felt ashamed of my life-long service in the field of janitorial services. I always felt uncomfortable in social settings when, inevitably, the questions came up in casual conversation, "Where did you go to school?" "What do you do for a living?"

Now, with an enlightened attitude stemming from the Starkey vision, I have learned to take pride in what I do, as a humble servant to the privileged classes. Armed with a new vocabulary that helps me reframe my social position in a more positive light, I feel blessed to be a soldier among the ranks of other Household Managers in the field of Private Service.

In the wise words of Winston Churchill, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

Many thanks to you all. I am forever indebted to you.

I want to take a moment to thank you personally for having me as a student. I know I was not your best student but I learned a lot about being a house manager as well as myself. I certainly feel I have grown as a person and gained confidence and strength within.

I hope all is well. I like to congratulate you on your 30th year celebration. I hope that your events this weekend will be a great success and that all that attend will have a great time.

I also wish that you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the festivities as well. You should relish the fact that you have set the standards for service and have inspired many to follow suit.

Please know that I have always cherished my studies at Starkey and have supported you and your mission. I have spoken often and with great pride how wonderful the Starkey System is and that each home should follow the foundations of your system.

I am constantly pulling out my "Original Guide to Household Management" for guidance. I have it on my desk right now using some of the pages to guide my Principal to the proper staffing level.

Please give Mrs. Metrot my best and tell I said hello.

Again, I wish you my sincere congratulations on your 30 years and wish you many more years of wonderful success.
